Crimean caves

          Fear and wild curiosity is what everyone feels, who finds oneself in the underground world for the first time. It seems that weird spirits and evil itself look upon you, sneak behind you, watch your every step. It is not easy to locate a cave, it is difficult to get through it, but the hardest thing is to climb out into the daylight. However, another mad one urges toward its womb. Is it you who might be this brave one?

This extreme tour takes 6 days. In no more than three hours after your arrival in Simferopol you will be observing Chatyrdag range out of the ancient grotto of MAN cave. Having mastered your first basics of speleology in this grotto we will make our way into the main hall of MAN cave. The thirty- meter-deep well of this cave will help us master your speleo-skills using all applicable equipment. Our further path leads to Karaby-Yaila plateau over Demerdzhi ridge (One day long). This area possess the richest cave density in the Crimea. They still keep discovering new caves here. After some preparation and training here we will take by storm the fifty-meter-deep abyss, called "Yubileynaya". After descent onto the bottom of this beautiful cave we are going to make our camp. This is where we are going to spend a night. The next morning we continue our adventure and will try to climb up and out. We promise that your insurance policies will not make your legatees happy and our firm will provide you with anything necessary.

Dangerously this? Speleo tourism is always designated by its specific dangers. These are so called "phobias": fear of the dark, limited space, overhanging huge domes, fears to be lost and even run into some "other-side" dwellers. That is why nobody knows how he or she will act inside a cave but this is the unique call and beauty of speleology. All speleo-routes are made up considering the real physical condition of an extreme-tour participant and the support team will provide your safety.

Cost includes:

The road FROM Simferopol to the beginning of a route and back. If you want to return earlier, road back to Simferopol pay in addition.

Support by the instructor: the instructor has all skills of speleotecnic, rendering of the first medical aid and connection with Crimean saving service.

Bivouac equipment: tents on 2-3 persons (probably family accommodation on 3 and 4 persons), a gas-jets, kettles and other.

Three meals a day: on all a route a high-grade two-single feed plus in the afternoon a snack will be provided. The food will prepare in common on a fire and (or) gas-jets. It is impossible to take into account tastes of everyone in a choice of a meal. We ask about your "follies": the vegetarian, alive food, not eating dairy, a Moslem and so forth to inform us beforehand. We shall be grateful to your feasible help in preparation of food and the device of camp. Spending the night will be organized in a wood and (at will) in caves.

Speleoequipment: all personal and group equipment necessary for passage of caves.

Health services: the medical first-aid set, in case of serious complications - immediate delivery in the nearest hospital.


Cost does not include:

The road to Simferopol (from Simferopol you are taken away with the machine and delivers to the beginning of a route), backpack, sleeping bag, drinks, a battery to personal small lamps.

It is necessary to have with it:

Backpack; tourist rug; a cape from a rain; sports footwear; a headdress from the sun and warm cap; marching clothes; utensils; a flask for water; the individual first-aid set; a small lamp, a sleeping bag (hire of a sleeping bag with rug - 5 UAH per day); toilet accessories.
